Rockstar Games confirmed pricing for Grand Theft Auto VI, listing a Standard Edition at $79.99 and an Ultimate Edition at $99.99.
Boxed copies will include a download code instead of a disc, and the listed prices apply to both physical and digital purchases.
GTA VI Ultimate Edition contents and price
The Ultimate Edition bundles exclusive in-game items tied to the protagonists' story, including vehicles, weapons and apparel. It is priced at $99.99, $20 above the Standard Edition.
Rockstar says the extra content integrates with the narrative for the game's lead characters and grants immediate access to those items for players who buy the premium edition.
Pre-orders, platforms and physical box details for GTA VI
Both Standard and Ultimate editions carry the same listed prices across major digital storefronts and participating retailers. Digital purchases will allow pre-loading before launch.
Physical boxes will provide a download code rather than a disc. Some US retailers refused to stock the physical edition after the code-only decision, a development linked to the decision to ship boxes without discs, as reported in coverage of retailer responses refused to stock the physical edition.
The announced pricing places GTA VI within the current-generation premium market, with the Ultimate Edition offering a modest paid upgrade for extra in-game content.
